I discovered the M&A and the private equity world as part of my first job as a consultant at Sungard (later acquired by FIS), helping alternative investment funds implementing and using Investran, the back, middle & front office software solution to efficiently run their daily operations.

As I was getting familiar with private equity players and cycles, I came across another key stakeholder in the value chain: the M&A advisor. I quickly realised that I was more attracted to the deal-making side of the table, especially helping entrepreneurs by giving them the right set of tools throughout a transaction process. In my view, the perfect M&A advisor needs to be an expert in the verticals he covers, master all the technicalities linked to a transaction, position the business accurately and fairly but more importantly needs to be an excellent listener, always putting the entrepreneur at the heart of the equation.

I therefore pivoted quite early on in my career to join GCA Altium, a London based advisory boutique working on cross- border deals, helping TMT focused and European companies raising funds or finding strategic or financial partners in the US or Asia. As a Frenchman in London, I naturally started spending more and more time tracking the flourishing Tech & Media ecosystem and ran into the leading deal-maker within that space: Cambon Partners.

As a new joiner of the Cambon family, I will be based in London and help the firm accelerate its constant international push as well as growing its global reach, always in the client's best interest. I am very excited to be part of this new adventure and joining a dynamic, growing and fun team!
