Ali Beklen is an accomplished entrepreneur and a seasoned engineer passionate about building bigger ecosystems and networks. Prior to founding HotelRunner, Ali gave strategic business and technical consulting for large enterprises at IBM and worked with CxOs, business, and technology teams. Ali brings to HotelRunner a refined focus on the technical and business areas and also participates in driving the vision and product strategy as a customer-obsessed sales veteran.

Ali has more than 25 years of experience in developing local and international projects and businesses in the education, hospitality, banking, aviation, and telecommunications industries. He has publications in international refereed journals and conferences about service and cloud computing. Ali holds an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering and a B.A. in Economics. He is also a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering. For the last ten years, he has been advising many organizations and initiatives focusing on the digital transformation of the travel industry globally.
