He graduated from Indiana University Kelly School of Business and co-founded Cornerstone, a company specializing in application and data management. Today, Cornerstone is a global leader in travel automation technology, catering to companies looking to automate their travel fulfillment, procurement, and business intelligence processes.

In addition to his work at Cornerstone, Mat is an active investor in various enterprises, including CRM technology, manufacturing, and services businesses. In 2012, he co-founded Runuplabs.com, a technology accelerator for the travel industry. Mat has also invested in and guided over 25 startup companies, including apexconnect.io, avenue7media.com, and acaitravel.com.
