Praveen Dias is a seasoned engineering leader with a strong background in driving technological innovation within the travel and aviation industry. Based in London, Praveen currently leads engineering teams focused on developing Amadeus' Open Platform capabilities—advancing openness and self-service solutions that empower users across various products and services. 

With over a decade of experience at Amadeus, Praveen has played a pivotal role in shaping the evolution of digital platforms and airline operations. Beginning his career in 2010 as a graduate software development engineer, he now manages diverse engineering teams and spearheading transformative projects. Between 2013 and 2018, Praveen led teams in the Airline Operations sector, including overseeing Altea Customer Management solutions for the Lufthansa Group. From 2018 to 2023, he transitioned into a senior leadership role within Amadeus’ Digital division, guiding a London-based R&D group responsible for a portfolio of self-service check-in products and managing the end-to-end solution. 

An alumnus of Imperial College London, Praveen holds a Master of Engineering degree in Information Systems Engineering. As a dual citizen of Britain and Sri Lanka, he brings a global perspective to his work, seamlessly integrating technical expertise with strategic leadership to enhance digital travel experiences.
