Zeljana Babic is a Serbian neuroscientist and entrepreneur. She secured a Master of Science in Neurobiology and completed a dual major in Clinical Psychology and Physiology and Neuroscience for her Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego. She received the Milton H. Saier, Sr. Memorial Award for "Outstanding Original Research Achievement in Computational Biology" in 2019 and the Norman Henry Anderson Excellence in Research Award for Exceptional Productivity in 2018. Her groundbreaking research has been published in reputable journals such as Science Advances, Translational Psychiatry, and eLife. Today, she is the CEO of Xenios Academy, an Abu Dhabi-based startup providing the world's first fully gamified, neuroscience-backed, AI-supported LMS. In September 2023, Zeljana was awarded as a “Woman In Tech'' by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (today UN Tourism), and won the “Future Tech '' award in the same competition of startups led by women. In less than a year since the founding date of Xenios Academy, Zeljana and her team have been featured in numerous global media outlets, such as CNN, Forbes Serbia, Bloomberg Adria, Arab News, among others.
